Our Legacy
Founder
In 1964, at just 22 years old, Mr. Himatlal Sheth laid the foundation for what would become Sheth Engineering Works (India). His journey, however, began much earlier. At 13, he left Gujarat for Bombay, taking on odd jobs to make ends meet. With no formal training but an innate curiosity, he studied the steel market, learning its nuances through experience rather than textbooks.
He mastered engineering without any formal education. Determined to bring the best to India, he travelled to Germany to study the latest steel processing machinery. He was utterly inspired and built a machine that didn’t exist in India.
From making household pans to pioneering steel processing in Navi Mumbai. Today, his legacy lives on, not just in the machines he built, but in the spirit of innovation and excellence that continues to define Sheth Engineering Works (India).
